RARE EARTHS & RARE METALS PROJECT
EL 5629 and 6787 TEMORA NSW

Licence Granted: EL 5629
1 October 1999 : EL 6787 12 May 2007
Location: 12 kilometres
northeast of Temora
Area: EL 5629 11 km2; EL
6787 84 km2
Target:
Porphyry or bulk disseminated style rare metals, heavy rare
earth elements (REE) and intrusive related gold-REE deposits
in fractionated, peralkaline granite complex.
Commodities
Sought: Zirconium, yttrium, niobium, REE, thorium,
rubidium, gallium, lithium, tantalum ... for high-tech industrial
market.
Exploration
Philosophy:
Capital is searching for free-digging, weathered deposits
of rare metals disseminated through granitic bedrock and for
heavy mineral deposits along palaeochannels leading from a
large, prominent air radiometric anomaly.
Project
Status:
Following mapping, surface sampling and ground radiometric
surveying, RC drill testing of a deeply weathered granitic
intrusive with relatively high Zr, Hf, Nb, Th and REE in a
1500m by 500-800m zone of interest in 2006 led to the definition
of an inferred oxide resource to 40 metres of 55 million tonnes
at 1000 g/t ZrO2, 60 g/t Y2O3, 300 g/t REO, 40 g/t HfO2, 80g/t
NbO2 and 50 g/t ThO2. Follow up aircore drilling in 2008 closed
off the main zone of interest and produced encouraging results
that have significantly added to the area encompassing the
known and potential resources.
Positive results also flowed
from petrological and mineralogical studies, bench scale tests
and preliminary metallurgical tests that were aimed at producing
a zirconium-enriched heavy mineral concentrate from friable
bedrock material.
Bulk sampling has been completed
and selected material was forwarded for metallurgical testing.
Results have been positive and joint venture partners are
actively being sought to take the Project forward.
