CRAIGIE
ALLUVIAL GOLD PROJECT
EL 5654 DELEGATE NSW

Licence
Granted: 14 December 1999
Location: 12
kilometres southeast of Delegate
Area:
29.5 square kilometres (13 units)
Target:
Alluvial gold in terrace deposits and active stream placers.
Commodities Sought:
Gold
Exploration Philosophy:
At Craigie, Capital is searching for
resources to support a 500+ oz/year alluvial mining operation
in an historic alluvial gold field and is aiming to establish
reserves for trial mining.
Project Status:
A number of separate alluvial gold deposits
have been identified within the Craigie field and been tested
by bulk sampling. Consistent and encouraging results have
been obtained from the treatment of 3 large parcels of material
from the Shiralee T2 Terrace deposit, one of the 2 most
significant deposits under evaluation. A relatively high
grade of up to 1615 milligrams gold per bank cubic metre
was obtained from one 25 cubic metre test pit where sample
excavation control was at an optimum. More bulk testing
is planned at Shiralee and a Development Application has
been lodged in respect of 2 Mineral Claim Applications.
At
the Little Bog Creek prospect on the eastern edge of the
tenement, a significantly larger volume of auriferous alluvium
has been outlined and bulk sampling has been planned.
Exploration trenches on the
Shiralee Deposit have been backfilled and topsoil and grassing
is about to commence. A mine planning focus meeting onsite
to discuss the ETS has resulted in a raft of requiremets
from the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and
Water resulting in the project being put on hold until further
notice.
